Realme recently unveiled its new charging technology that utilises 240W output to charge its upcoming phone, GT Neo 5, in minutes. The company has, however, not revealed when this phone or, at least, the charging technology will debut, but a report has suggested that the upcoming tech congregation called Mobile World Congress may be the best place for the launch. In other words, the Realme GT Neo 5 with 240W charging speed may debut at the MWC 2023 in Barcelona next month.
While Realme has not confirmed its MWC event, a report by Pricebaba said the company may announce its next premium phone GT Neo 5 at the MWC 2023. This leak is a little astray from the previous rumours that had suggested a launch timeline of late January or early February. Realme has been a prominent attendee of the Mobile World Congress for the past few years, so it makes sense for the brand to unveil its breakthrough charging technology at the upcoming tech event. The MWC 2023 is slated to be held between February 27 and March 2 in Barcelona.
The company has confirmed that the GT Neo 5 will support 240W fast wired charging, but the rest of the specifications are yet to become official. Thanks to rumours so far, we know what the Realme GT Neo 5 would be like. The phone is likely to come in two versions — a model with 240W fast charging supported by a 4600mAh battery and another one that uses a 5000mAh battery with 150W fast charging.
The Realme GT Neo 5 may come with a 6.7-inich 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The phone may also feature a 16-megapixel camera. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel camera on the front of the phone. The phone will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which was last year’s flagship processor by Qualcomm. The phone may also come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, and on the software front, you can expect Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0.
