WhatsApp has dropped new features along with design improvement. The update will offer the users a better creative control over the private chats. The platform is offering 30 different visual effects for users that can be used while editing photos and videos in the chats. Apart from that, the process of sticker creation has also been simplified in the application. the users will be able to directly share sticker packs in their chats. WhatsApp has announced multiple new features just a day ago. The filters and background feature is not just limited to video calls and will now be available for the camera functions as well. In addition that, the users on the platform will be able to turn their selfie straight into a sticker by just tapping on the Sticker icon. Furthermore, users can also tap on the Create Sticker button and they will get to see the camera option to capture a selfie in real-time and create a sticker. The feature is only available for Android phones and the platforms have confirmed the same features for iOS pretty soon. The Meta-owned platform is also bringing a way to share sticker packs in chats. Apart from that, people will also get to see a new way to message reactions. They now just need to double-tap on a message to like it. The latest alteration in the UI is something that is simple as compared the to previous long tap reaction trigger.
That being said, the platform is also working on introducing AI characters that we have seen on other Meta platforms Instagram and Facebook. Expectations are that we will get to see the same by the first half of this year.
