Oppo is expected to refresh its Reno lineup with next-generation smartphones soon. The Reno 15 series is said to be in development in China and might include three models. To recall, the Reno 14 lineup included a standard and a Pro model only. A fresh leak has suggested that the standard Reno 15 could feature a compact 6.32-inch display. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station shared the key specifications of the Reno 15 series on Weibo. The leak revolves around two devices with names “R15” and “R15P” – which are said to be the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro Max, respectively. The standard Reno 15 is expected to offer a compact form factor. The Reno 15 is said to feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K flat display, while the Reno 15 Pro Max could offer a larger 6.78-inch screen. Both phones are expected to feature a metal frame, with the Pro Max model sporting a glass body. The Reno 15 and 15 Pro Max may come with IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The devices are said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset.
Previously, the Reno 15 Pro Max was tipped to pack a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset along with a 6,500mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro Max are rumoured to feature triple rear cameras. Both are expected to feature a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 main sensor, coupled with 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. On the front, the phones could house a 50MP selfie camera. The Pro Max is also said to feature 50W wireless charging.
Oppo is also said to launch another model in the Reno 15 lineup with a 6.59-inch display, which may sit between the standard and Pro Max model.
