The Government of India has issued a high-risk warning for Apple users in the country. As per the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), a lot of Apple devices including MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones along with the Safari browser are at an exploitation risk. The advisory has asked the users to update their devices in order to keep their devices safe.
As claimed in the advisory by Cert-In, multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Apple products running on different versions of iPadOS, iOS, visionOS, Safari, tvOS, watchOS, and more. The vulnerabilities target both organizations and individuals and the cyber attackers can use the devices to gather highly-confidential information from the devices. The advisory concludes by saying that the vulnerability exposes users to potential unauthorized access to information that is crucial to the users.
All Apple users who have devices running on any of the mentioned operating systems or browsers are suggested to update their devices or browsers as soon as they can. Moreover, the eligible device owners are suggested to update their devices to iOS 18.1.
