Apple releases iOS 17.4.1, iPadOS 17.4.1, and new visionOS update: Heres whats changed

Apple is now rolling out the iOS 17.4.1 and iPadOS 17.4.1 to eligible iPhones and iPads. Alongside these, Apple has also updated the visionOS.

Apple is rolling out updates to iOS, iPadOS, and visionOS. The new iOS 17.14.1, iPadOS 17.14.1, and visionOS 1.1.1 updates are being rolled out to eligible iPhones, iPads, and the Vision Pro. Apple updates iOS, iPadOS, and visionOS

As per Apple, these updates bring bug fixes and security updates. However, Apple hasn’t outlined the exact fixes that it’s doing. Nonetheless, it’s always a good idea to be on the latest version, especially when the changelog mentions security updates, as is the case with iOS 17.4.1. iOS 17.4 itself is a significant update. It brings third-party app store support to iOS. This means iPhone users on iOS 17.4 or 17.4.1 can install third-party app stores and download apps. Apart from this update, Apple also released iOS 16.7.7 and iPadOS 16.7.7 with build number 2H330. Apple usually doesn’t offer any new features to its older versions of the operating systems. Here’s how to update on eligible devices

Step 1: Head to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2: Tap on General.

Step 3: Click on the Software Update tab.

Step 4: Tap on Update Now.

Step 5: Enter your passcode and your iPhone/iPad should automatically download and install the update.

Your device should restart after the update is completed. You can check the updated version of the iOS/iPadOS in Settings in the Software Update tab.
