Tecno Pova 6 Pro will launch in India on March 29th: Here's what to expect

Tecno has announced the launch of a new smartphone in the Indian market dubbed Pova 6 Pro. The device will arrive next week in the country. As the name suggests, it’s a Pova series smartphone, which means, it will arrive in the budget segment. The device will come with an interesting specs sheet such as a large display, a triple-rear camera system, a massive 6,000mAh battery, and a Dimensity chipset. Let’s take a look at the full details.

The Pova 6 Pro will be launched in collaboration with Rusk Media Playground Season 3 on March 29. That said, the launch isn’t far away. The smartphone is expected to arrive in the Rs 20,000 price segment and may compete with phones from Redmi, Realme, Infinix, Poco, and others.

Although Tecno hasn’t revealed the design and specs of the phone, it was launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. So, we do know its specs and we expect the same model to arrive in India.

Starting with the design, the smartphone has a graphic-heavy design. It has two colours, Comet Green and Meteorite Grey. The device sports a 6.78-inch punch-hole display with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED panel has 1300 nits of peak brightness.

It is equipped with a triple camera system with a 108MP main lens, a 2MP macro unit, and a 0.08MP auxiliary sensor. Upfront, it has a 32MP camera for selfies. The rear camera of the phone is capable of shooting 1440p resolution videos at 30fps. The front camera can record 1080p resolution.

At the helm, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 octa-core processor paired with Mali-G57 MC2. It has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device packs a mammoth 6,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging. It is advertised to go from 0 to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.

The device has an under-display fingerprint scanner for added security. It has the following connectivity options: 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, and GPS connectivity. Further, it has an IR blaster for controlling gadgets around you. It has dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio. The smartphone has an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance. It runs on Android 14 OS out of the box with HiOS 14 on top.
