                                Xiaomi is expected to launch a new smartphone under its Redmi branding next year. The specifications of the phone, said to be the Redmi Turbo 5, have surfaced online. The device is expected to succeed the Redmi Turbo 4, which launched earlier this year, and offer various upgrades over it. Here’s everything we know so far about the rumoured Redmi Turbo 5. Tipster Digital Chat Station took to Chinese microblogging site Weibo to share the specifications of a mid-range phone from a sub-brand. According to Gizmochina, the tipster is referring to the Redmi Turbo 5. As per the leak, the device features a 6.5-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display with in-screen fingerprint sensor. It could pack a 7,500mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging support. For comparison, the Redmi Turbo 4 houses a 6,550mAh unit. A recent report suggested that the Redmi Turbo 5 could launch in early 2026. The device is expected to be rebadged as the POCO X8 Pro in global markets. According to earlier leaks, the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset.
To recall, the Redmi Turbo 4 was launched in January this year in China. It features a 6.67-inch 1.5K display with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3200 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Internally, it runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
For photography, the Redmi Turbo 4 features a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. For selfies and video calls, the Turbo 4 gets a 20MP front-facing camera.
