OnePlus is all set to unveil its next flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 15 – in China on October 27. The new model will take over from last year’s OnePlus 13 and is said to bring some major improvements in design, display, and performance. The handset was revealed recently during the Snapdragon Summit Global Highlights event in India, pointing to the India launch not being too far away. OnePlus 15 Launch Timeline (Expected)

The global unveiling will happen shortly after the China launch, which is scheduled for October 27. While OnePlus has not yet confirmed the India launch date, the phone is likely to make its debut in India sometime in November 2025.

Regarding pricing, reports suggest that the OnePlus 15 will likely start from between Rs 70,000 and Rs 75,000, which means it will compete against rivals such as – the iPhone 17 and the Samsung Galaxy S25.

The OnePlus 15 is confirmed to offer ultra-narrow 1.15mm bezels while incorporating a third-gen BOE Flexible Oriental OLED display, which offers a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. OnePlus claims the new panel delivers 13% higher peak brightness, improved colour accuracy, and 30% longer lifespan compared to its predecessor. The display will also reduce power consumption by 10%.

Design-wise, the handset will sport a square-shaped rear camera module, available in three colourways – Absolute Black, Mist Purple, and Original Sand Dune. It could also carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

OnePlus 15 Specifications

The smartphone is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 in China and OxygenOS 16 in India. Powering the device will be a 7,300mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.

OnePlus 15 Cameras

Rumours suggest the OnePlus 15 will feature a triple-camera setup at the back, including a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, along with 50MP main and ultra-wide sensors.

OnePlus Co-founder Pete Lau has also confirmed that the company is developing a new DetailMax Image Engine, which aims to improve fine details and dynamic range in photos. The technology is likely to debut with the OnePlus 15, making it a big step forward for OnePlus’ camera game.
