LAVA Play Max 5G Launched In India Under Rs 15,000 With Vapor Chamber Cooling And Dimensity 7300

Lava has finally expanded its Play series with the launch of a new budget smartphone, which seems to be aimed at students, basic users with social media scrolling, and casual gamers looking for an affordable option. Lava Play Max 5G Specifications And Features At A Glance

The Play Max is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, built on the 4nm process. Moreover, the highlight of the phone seems to be the Vapor Chamber Cooling (VC Cooling). Lava says this helps maintain temperature during long gameplay hours; however, it is hard to tell how effective it is without review. 

The smartphone features a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and also comes with IP54 dust and water resistance. The storage options include:

• 6GB RAM + 6GB virtual RAM
• 8GB RAM + 8GB virtual RAM

Both come with 128GB storage. Talking about the cameras, Lava features a 50MP AI main camera with EIS, paired with an 8MP selfie camera. For videos, it has 4K@30fps recording support. The Lava Play Max packs a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. On the software side, it runs Clean Android 15 with no ads, no bloatware and no preloaded apps. 

Lava Max Play Price and Availability

Lava Play Max 5G will be available starting December 2025 through Lava retail outlets. How much does it cost? The basic version of 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 12,999, while the 8GB RAM option can be purchased for Rs 14,999. Lava says that financing options from major banks will also be available. The phone comes in two colour options – Deccan Black and Himalayan White.
