iPhone 17 Pro Spotted In Public Ahead Of Launch In September?
A development unit of the iPhone 17 Pro spotted in wild! It is suggested to offer some notable design changes from the iPhone 16 Pro. Check all the details.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series in September 2025 with some of the biggest design changes in years. While several renders have already shed light on what we should expect, a tester is spotted with the iPhone 17 Pro. “I just spotted a test development iPhone in the wild,” a post by account @Skyfops on X said, along with the spotted iPhone 17 Pro.

What makes it even more legitimate is the comment by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, “Wow, this looks legit.” The shared image shows a man holding two phones, one with a familiar design of the iPhone 16 Pro, while the other one seems way too similar to the one that we have seen in renders so far. While it is expected to be the “test development” unit, the new unit features a triple camera setup at the back, similar to the iPhone 16 Pro. However, it is the flash and the LiDAR sensor placement which makes the whole difference. They are placed on the extreme right of the phone, which looks similar to the design of leaked images of the iPhone 17 Pro models. iPhone 17 Pro Models: What Else To Expect
Apart from the visible changes, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to get an aluminium frame instead of the titanium. Apple may replace the 5x zoom on the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a 48MP telephoto lens offering 3.5x zoom. But thanks to the higher resolution, it could still give clear zoomed-in photos—possibly up to 7x using software. All iPhone 17 models are also expected to come with 12GB of RAM (up from 8GB), which should help with AI features and smoother multitasking. The iPhone 17 Pro might run on a new A19 Pro chip. While it’s still based on the same 3nm tech as the A18, it’s expected to be faster and more efficient. Leaks also hint at new bold colour options like orange, blue, silver, and black—moving away from the usual muted Pro colours.

Based on the past patterns, the iPhone 17 series is expected to be launched by mid-September 2025. Some speculations suggested that it may launch on September 8, 9 or 10. However, the final launch date is still a secret with Apple.
