
The foldable smartphone market in India is gaining popularity in recent years with several growth in the segment. More and more buyers are now interested in buying foldable smartphone from brands like Samsung, Motorola, and OnePlus. Apple is a brand that’s always focused on innovation, enhancements, and bringing new features to its iPhones. Now, the company is reportedly planning a major surprise for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone in 2027 by launching its first-ever foldable iPhone.
While Apple has stayed quite when it comes to foldable iphone, letting brands like Samsung, OPPO, Huawei to experiment first with their foldable segment. New leaks and reports suggests that the tech giant is finally ready to unveil one of the biggest offering of its brand-Foldable iPhone.
As per industry insiders like Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s foldable iPhone is in the early phase of its development and hence the company is aiming for the 2027 release in order to mark the two decades since the original iPhone changed the smartphone world. Reportedly, the upcoming foldable iPhone might feature a book-style design which will be similar to the Galazy Z Fold series from Samsung.

To recall, Galaxy Z Fold 6 comes with a phone-sized display on the outside and larger display like tablet on the outside. As per report, the Apple foldable iPhone could feature a 7.8-inch display on the inside and 5.5-inch display on the outside. Nevertheless, reports also indicate that Apple is working on solving key challenges like display crease minimization, battery life, and durability that exists in today’s foldable.
Apple is expected to collaborate with top display suppliers like LG, Samsung, and more for flexible OLED panels. While not much is known about the final specs, but analysts hint that Apple foldable iPhone could feature Face ID under the screen, Apple silicon chipset, and a new user interface that supports multitasking and larger screens.
