Elon Musk’s micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter) now supports passkey logins for iPhones globally. The feature comes weeks after launching it for the US region. If you are an iPhone user, you know how passkeys can save you time and energy. For those who are unaware of what are passkeys, it’s a feature for one-tap login while ensuring security as opposed to passwords. How to set up passkey login on the X app

Step 2: Log in on X, if haven’t already. Then, tap on Your account in the navigation bar.

Step 3: Tap on Settings and privacy.

Step 4: Tap on the Security and account access option.

Step 5: Tap on Security and look for ‘Aditional password protection’ option. Now, tap on Passkey.

Step 6: Enter your X password.

Step 7: Select the ‘Add a passkey’ option and follow the on-screen prompts to finish setting Passkeys.

Apple iPhone users should definitely turn this feature on as it offers convenience and security. Passkeys on iPhones for such apps let users log in to apps with Face ID, or Touch ID. This makes the process of logging in on apps like X easier.

Apart from X, there are other apps that have Passkey support for a convenient login process. These apps include Google, Microsoft, and others. The feature is also coming to WhatsApp on iOS, one of the most popular instant messaging apps in India.
