Netflix announces Money Heist Spinoff Berlin release for December

Netflix has announced that it will release the spinoff of its much-popular series Money Heist or La Casa Da Papel. The upcoming series will be called ‘Berlin’ and is confirmed to release in December 2023. Netflix to release ‘Money Heist’ spinoff ‘Berlin’ in December

As per the trailer, the series will revolve around the much-loved character, Berlin, from the original series, played by Pedro Alonso. For the unversed, Berlin was the one who created the plan of robbing the Royal Mint of Spain which was later executed by his brother, the Professor, played by Álvaro Morte. According to Netflix, “Berlin (series) focuses on an earlier period in Berlin’s life, which is touched upon in flashbacks in the later seasons of Money Heist.

The series was announced back in September last year during the Netflix Global Fan Event.

As per a statement by Money Heist creator, “It’s a trip through the golden age of the character, when he robbed around Europe crazy in love. That’s the most surprising, the comedy. You’re going to make people laugh a lot.”

The series is expected to include white-collar crimes, tension, travel, romance and, most interestingly, a sense of humor.

Netflix has even revealed a few photos of the upcoming series Berlin.
