Xiaomi’s spin-off brand Redmi has announced the all-new Redmi Band 2 in the global markets. The smart band debuted in China in December and it slowly appears to reach more markets. Also Read - Vi announces 5G support on Xiaomi, Redmi phones but no launch date yet
The Redmi Band 2 has more than 30 sports modes and several health features including a blood oxygen monitor. It has two weeks of battery life and is priced starting at under Rs 3,000. Also Read - Redmi Note 12 4G design and color option revealed before launch on March 30
Redmi Band 2 specifications and features
The Redmi Band 2 comes with a 1.47-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 172 x 320 pixels. It has 247 PPI pixel density and up to 450 nits of brightness. Redmi has offered over 100 watch faces which can be installed and applied from the proprietary app. It comes with 30+ sports modes including yoga, hiking, outdoor running, and others.
The smart band also has health-related features such as heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring. It also has stress monitoring and women’s health tracking. Additionally, it also has sleep tracking including counting of afternoon naps.
The wearable has a 210Ah battery that is claimed to offer up to 14 days of battery life on normal usage and up to 6 days on heavy usage.
It can be charged with a magnetic charger which will be bundled with the device. Xiaomi claims that it will take about 120 minutes to fully charge the band.
The Redmi Band 2 has 5 ATM water resistance support. It has Bluetooth 5.1 and can be paired with devices running Android 6 or above and iOS 12 or above.
Redmi Band 2 price, colors, and availability
The Redmi Band 2 is priced at 4,990 JPY (roughly Rs 3,200). But as an early bird offer, it can be bought for 4,490 JPY (roughly Rs 2,800). The introductory offer will end on February 6.
The smart band has multiple color options such as Ivory, Olive, Green, Blue, Black, and Pink.
There’s no information on the India availability of the smart band, as of yet.
