JioSaavn rolls out premium plans for couples, families: Details

JioSaavn, the music streaming service owned by Jio, has introduced two new subscription plans for users in India. There is a new plan that allows two simultaneous accounts and a plan for families of up to six members. JioSaavn’s new plans come amid the rumours that Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming service, is planning to hike its subscription prices and introduce the long-awaited lossless music feature. JioSaavn Pro Duo Plan

The Duo plan is ideal for a couple or a pair of users who want to share one subscription. With individual user accounts, two users can maintain their playlists and listen to high-quality music at the same time. The buyer of this JioSaavn plan can add just one account. The JioSaavn Pro Duo plan costs Rs 129 per month, which is Rs 30 more than the monthly price for an individual plan. To subscribe, users can download the JioSaavn app on Android or iOS and go to the Account section to find available subscriptions. JioSaavn Pro Family Plan

Unlike Duo, the Family plan can have up to six accounts, including the buyer of the plan. Six different members can access unlimited music at high quality simultaneously with the JioSaavn Pro Family plan. It also grants each member access to free Jiotunes, which are caller tunes for Reliance Jio numbers. The JioSaavn Pro Family plan is worth Rs 149 per month and available to subscribe from both Android and iOS apps.

What does its rival Wynk Music offer?

The monthly individual subscription plan on Wynk Music costs Rs 49, while its yearly plan is worth Rs 999. However, most customers receive an offer where the costs are slashed by more than half. Thus, the monthly plan costs Rs 49 and the annual plan Rs 399. Even though there is no plan meant for simultaneous listening by two users or a family pack, Wynk Music offers titles in Dolby Atmos quality. Airtel users get access to Wynk Music’s premium subscription as part of select tariff plans, as well.
