Xiaomi 12 Pro gets MIUI 14 in India, but your device may not get it right away 

Xiaomi’s top-of-the-line flagship from last year is now receiving MIUI 14 update in India. As you’d expect, the update is based on Android 13 OS which brings several new features to the device.

Xiaomi 12 Pro starts receiving MIUI 14 based on Android 13 in India

Xiaomi is pushing the Android 13-based MIUI 14 update to Xiaomi 12 Pro in different regions. Now, as per XiaomiUI, it’s reaching the Indian region as well. However, not every device will get the update right away.

Xiaomi is testing the update with Mi Pilot testers. The update carries a size of 4.4GB and has the firmware version V14.0.1.0TLBINXM.

Although the changelog doesn’t reveal its features, it is expected to bring Android 13’s core features. It also brings January 2023 security patch, which isn’t the latest but a recent one.

For the unversed, Google’s Pixel phones received the February 2023 security patch a day back.

As mentioned above, the update is rolling only to the Mi Pilot testers having Xiaomi 12 Pro. But once the testing is done, it is expected to arrive as a ‘Stable Beta’, followed by the final ‘Stable’ update.

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed when it will be reaching the public, but expect it to arrive in a few weeks.

MIUI 14 based on Android 13 is the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s first software update. Xiaomi has promised three years of updates with the device, which means it will get up to Android 15-based MIUI 16.
