Samsung says the new language models were created in close collaboration with its R&D centres in India and Indonesia to make them sound natural and regionally accurate. “The addition of Gujarati to Galaxy AI is a milestone in our mission to democratize AI in India,” said Giridhar Jakki, Senior Director at Samsung R&D Institute India, Bengaluru. “We want native speakers to use Galaxy AI features like Call Assist and Interpreter in their own language, powered by on-device AI.” news Also Read: Best camera phones under Rs 15000 in Nov 2025: iQOO Z10x, Vivo T4x 5G, Samsung Galaxy M36 5G and more

Samsung says that since debuting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy AI has been adopted at record speed – now running on over 200 million devices. Samsung expects that number to cross 400 million by the end of 2025.

In India, almost 91% of Galaxy S25 users actively use Galaxy AI features. Samsung’s focus on mobile AI seems to be working, and it’s now reaching more users through added local language support.
