X, formerly known as Twitter, offers three plans under the platform’s paid subscription service. These three plans — Basic, Premium and Premium Plus — come at varying prices and they offer a different set of features to the interested users. But now, Elon Musk has announced that X will offer Premium and Premium Plus subscription for free to X users. But there is a catch.
The company isn’t offering free Premium and Premium Plus subscription to all users. Instead, X users who are using the platform’s free version need to fulfill specific criteria in order to be eligible to get all the features offered by their paid plans for free. Musk in a post on X wrote that X accounts that have more than 2,500 verified subscriber followers will get Premium features for free. Similarly, X accounts that have more than 5,000 verified subscriber followers will get Premium Plus features for free.
Going forward, all 𝕏 accounts with over 2500 verified subscriber followers will get Premium features for free and accounts with over 5000 will get Premium+ for free
