Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Launches With Ultra-Thin Build And Flagship Specs

Samsung today hosted the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York, where it unveiled the 7th iteration of its foldable phone – the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The device joins the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE clamshells. Powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is claimed to be the company’s thinnest foldable smartphone ever. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Specifications, Features

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 sports a 8.0-inch QXGA+ (2184 x 1968 pixels resolution) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, offering 422 PPI and 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset paired with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB internal storage. It is fueled by a 4,400mAh battery, claimed to reach 50% charge in around 30 minutes with 25W adapter. The Z Fold 7 comes with IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. The cover display and back panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the frame is made of advanced Armor Aluminium.

For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 bumps up the main camera to a 200MP sensor. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, there is a 10MP camera on the cover display and a 10MP sensor on the main display.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is claimed to be Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone. It measures 8.9mm thick when folded and just 4.2mm thick when unfolded. The device weighs in at 215 grams. The Z Fold 7 runs on Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Price in India

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is priced at $1,999.99 in the US. In India, the foldable will be available for Rs 1,74,999. It comes in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, and Jet-black colourways and a Mint variant, which will be a Samsung.com exclusive.
