Samsung today hosted the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York, where it unveiled the 7th iteration of its foldable phone – the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The device joins the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE clamshells. Powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is claimed to be the company’s thinnest foldable smartphone ever. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Specifications, Features

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 sports a 8.0-inch QXGA+ (2184 x 1968 pixels resolution) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, offering 422 PPI and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset paired with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB internal storage. It is fueled by a 4,400mAh battery, claimed to reach 50% charge in around 30 minutes with 25W adapter. The Z Fold 7 comes with IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 bumps up the main camera to a 200MP sensor. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, there is a 10MP camera on the cover display and a 10MP sensor on the main display.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is claimed to be Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone. It measures 8.9mm thick when folded and just 4.2mm thick when unfolded. The device weighs in at 215 grams. The Z Fold 7 runs on Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Price in India

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is priced at $1,999.99 in the US. In India, the foldable will be available for Rs 1,74,999. It comes in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, and Jet-black colourways and a Mint variant, which will be a Samsung.com exclusive.
