Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launch Delayed To March 2026? Here Is What Latest Leak Suggests

If you are waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, then know it is expected to face a slight delay. As per a report by ETNews, Samsung may debut the Galaxy S26 series in March 2026, which is slightly delayed from the previous launches in the last couple of years. According to reports from Korean media, the company plans to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco. While pre-orders are expected to start soon after the announcement, official sales could begin in the first week of March. Samsung Galaxy S26 Series: Why The Delay?

Industry sources suggest the change in launch schedule has to do with a reshuffle in Samsung’s product lineup. The company had initially planned to include an ultra-slim Galaxy S26 Edge model but decided to replace it with the Galaxy S26 Plus after the poor sales of the S25 Edge. This switch reportedly required a full adjustment to the development and mass production timeline. Samsung didn’t want to rush production before final sample verification was complete, as that could have raised quality concerns.

A Samsung official was quoted as saying, “The somewhat delayed product planning affected the launch,” but also noted that the final schedule could still change depending on the production stage.

Based on the previous leaks, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to include the standard Galaxy S26, Plus, and Ultra models. While details on design and hardware are still under wraps, the new lineup will likely feature upgraded camera sensors and improved AI integration. 

Apart from this, the series could also witness a price hike. Report suggests that with component costs rising globally, Samsung might be forced to revise prices for the Galaxy S26 series. According to reports, prices of application processors (APs) have jumped by 12%, camera modules by 8%, and mobile DRAM by over 16% this year. Industry experts believe this trend could continue into 2026, making it hard for Samsung to maintain the same pricing as the Galaxy S25 lineup.
