Lava has launched its latest budget 5G smartphone, the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 5G, in India. The new handset comes with an AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset, and IP64-rated protection, making it an all-round option in the affordable segment. The Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 5G is priced at Rs 13,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It will be available in Feather White and Midnight Black colour options. The phone will go on sale in India through Amazon and and offline retail outlets, starting from August 16. Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch design for the selfie camera.
The Blaze AMOLED 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC, paired with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The handset also has a dedicated cooling chamber for better thermal management during heavy use.
The phone runs Android 15 out of the box and is promised to receive one Android upgrade (Android 16) and two years of security updates.
On the back, the Blaze AMOLED 2 5G sports a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary sensor with an LED flash. The front has an 8MP selfie camera. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance.
The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
With its combination of a smooth AMOLED display, 5G connectivity, and solid build quality, the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 5G targets users looking for premium features in the sub-Rs 15,000 segment.
