WhatsApp update: WhatsApp has rolled out an update to its app on iPhones. For the unversed, Meta introduced screen sharing feature in WhatsApp in August last year. WhatsApp’s screen sharing feature enables users to share their screens during a video call. This feature is similar to what apps like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom offers to the users with one catch. The Screen sharing feature on other conferencing platforms lets users share both the video and the audio during a conference call. The company has rolled out WhatsApp version 29.4 on iPhones. This version supports audio sharing while sharing the screen. “Screen sharing during video calls now supports sharing audio too,” the release notes on Apple’s App Store say. With this feature, WhatsApp users can watch a movie with their best friend while sharing their screen in the app.

How to watch a movie with your friend on WhatsApp?

Step 1: Update WhatsApp on your iPhone.

Step 2: Open WhatsApp and then open the chat of the friend with whom you want to watch the movie.

Step 3: Tap the camera icon on the top to make the call.

Step 4: Once the call has been picked up, tap the Screen Sharing option in the menu. This option is right next to the button to flip the camera.

Step 4: Tap the Continue button.

Step 5: Now tap the Start Broadcast button.

Step 6: Once the screen sharing has begun, open the app, like Netflix, on which you want to watch the movie.

Step 7: Search the movie that you want to watch and tap the play button to start streaming.
