Grok is Elon Musk’s alternative to Google’s Gemini AI and OpenAI’s ChatGPT. However, both AI services have their own free versions. In fact, Gemini AI features now come in-built in smartphones like Galaxy S24 and Pixel 8. That said, it won’t be easier to increase Grok’s user base since it’s under a paywall. But making it accessible to Premium subscribers may still help.
Musk is going aggressive with Grok. The X app now also has the Grok button in the middle so more users know about it.
Unlike some other AI chatbots, Grok can give you witty responses. It has two modes Regular mode and Fun mode. The latter offers humorous responses, whereas, the former is for those who want straight answers.
The chatbot can also summarize news topics trending on X. Summarized news can be accessed from the Explore tab. AI chatbots summarizing stories isn’t new, however, Grok also gives a headline on its own and presents the summarized topics, making it convenient.
In other news about X, Musk last week announced that he will give free X Premium subscriptions to accounts with 2,500 verified subscriber followers. Accounts with 5,000 verified subscriber followers will get X Premium+ for free.
