Google Maps With Gemini: What It Can Do

The addition of Gemini to Google Maps has changed many things. For example: news Also Read: Reliance Jio 5G Users Can Now Access Google AI Pro Free For 18 Months: Here’s What’s Included

  • You can simply ask Gemini about the availability of EV chargers nearby or share your estimated time of arrival with friends. The good part, it doesn’t need to be a perfect sentence to be understood, simply talk as you are having a conversation.
  • Gemini can even connect your Google Calendar to add an event automatically, of course, with your permission!
  • You can even ask for quick news updates of the day, late at night, to stay updated.
  • Reporting an incident has also become easier with Gemini, as you can simply say “I see an accident,” and “Looks like there’s flooding ahead.”
  • Navigation also becomes easier! Instead of “take a turn after 500 metres,” which becomes confusing for many, Google Maps will now tell you with specific landmarks, something which are easy to detect.
  • Traffic advisory on the go. Google says that even if you are not navigating via Maps, it will notify you about the disruptions on the road, whether it is about a traffic jam or any unexpected road blockage. However, it is rolling out in the US on Android devices for now.
