Airtel has introduced new data boosters as part of its strategy to promote 5G adoption. The data booster packs will allow users to enjoy unlimited 5G internet if they are subscribed to non-5G prepaid plans. Each new plan comes with a data cap for 4G internet, but you can access 5G internet without a quota for as long as their validity remains. news Also Read: Airtel vs Jio vs Vi: Best Plans With Free Netflix To Watch The Ba**ds of Bollywood

The telecom company recently hiked its prepaid tariffs, following a similar announcement by Reliance Jio, to allow unlimited 5G internet only on plans with at least 2GB daily data benefit. So, you will be charged against your daily data quota if you have subscribed to a 1.5GB/day or 1GB/day plan. The new data booster packs come with at least 3GB daily data, meaning you become eligible for unlimited 5G internet access as soon as you buy one. news Also Read: Jio, Airtel Add Over 4 Lakh Users In July; Vodafone-Idea, BSNL See Decline: TRAI

New Airtel Data Booster Plans

There are three new data booster plans, offering up to 9GB of 4G data. In 5G-covered areas, users can switch to the 5G network for unlimited internet. news Also Read: Jio-Airtel Discontinuous Rs 249 Pack, Which Is The Cheapest Plan Now?

— Rs 151 comes with 9GB of additional 4G data

These data booster packs do not have validities but will last as long as your base plan. For instance, if you have subscribed to the Rs 299 plan, offering 1GB of data per day for 28 days, subscribing to one of the booster plans will give you an extra 4G data and unlimited 5G internet until the plan expires. Also note that these plans offer only additional data, meaning no voice or SMS benefits. The voice and SMS benefits will continue according to your base plan. Another thing to remember is that once you exhaust the data quota of the subscribed plan, 4G data will be charged but you can continue to use unlimited 5G internet.
