The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the most powerful of the trio, running on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite processor, while the Z Flip 7 features Samsung’s own 3nm Exynos 2500 chip. The more budget-friendly Z Flip 7 FE comes with the Exynos 2400 processor, offering decent performance but a tier lower than the others.
In terms of displays, the Fold 7 has a large 8.0-inch inner display and a 6.5-inch cover screen — both Dynamic AMOLED 2X with 120Hz refresh rates. The Z Flip 7 gets a slightly smaller 6.9-inch main screen and an upgraded 4.1-inch cover display with up to 2,600 nits brightness, also supporting 120Hz. The Flip 7 FE, being the most affordable, features a 6.7-inch main display and a smaller 3.4-inch cover screen, both AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate.
When it comes to cameras, the Fold 7 clearly leads with a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE both feature dual rear cameras, but Samsung hasn’t highlighted their megapixel count — they’re expected to be standard 12MP sensors with AI enhancements.
The cover display experience also varies. The Z Flip 7 stands out with support for Galaxy AI on the FlexWindow, including Gemini Live, voice commands, and even Samsung DeX — a first for Flip phones. The Flip 7 FE supports AI features too but in a limited form, like smart reminders and voice actions. The Fold 7 offers full productivity on its larger cover display but isn’t centered around FlexWindow-style interactions.
Battery sizes also differ. The Fold 7 is backed by a 4,400mAh battery, while the Flip 7 gets 4,300mAh and is optimized for long video playback. The Flip 7 FE has a smaller 4,000mAh battery but still claims all-day use.
Build quality improves as you move up the ladder. The Fold 7 has Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and an Armour Aluminium frame, making it Samsung’s thinnest and lightest Fold yet. The Flip 7 uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a new FlexHinge, making it the slimmest Flip so far. The Flip 7 FE shares the same IP48 dust and water resistance but skips premium materials.
Pricing sets them apart most clearly. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is priced at Rs 1,74,999 in India, making it the flagship productivity foldable. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 starts at Rs 1,09,999 for the 256GB variant, while the Flip 7 FE is aimed at value-seekers, starting at Rs 89,999 for 128GB.
Pick the Z Fold 7 for multitasking and power, the Z Flip 7 for premium style and AI, or the Flip 7 FE for foldable experience at a lower price.
