Samsung is making significant strides to enhance the repairability of its smartphones in India. Recognizing the growing demand for sustainable and easily serviceable devices, the company has introduced various initiatives. In a press release on its Korean website, the company said, “Samsung Electronics Service began operating the ‘Domestic Service Experts Overseas Dispatch’ program as a regular program this year. In July, a ‘Galaxy Service Expert Instructor’ was dispatched to Samsung Electronics India, where he toured eight major service centers, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Noida, to share his expertise.” Also Read: Diwali Sale Feast! The tech giant has acknowledged the importance of making smartphones easier to repair, especially in a market like India, where the affordability and durability of devices play a crucial role. To achieve this target, the company is working on improving the design of its smartphones to allow easier access to internal components. As part of the initiative, Samsung is also announcing a new program that is expanding its network of authorized service centers across India. This expansion is aimed at ensuring that customers, even in remote areas, have access to reliable repair services. The company is also providing specialized training to technicians, ensuring that they are well equipped to handle repairs for Samsung’s latest devices.
Additionally, the company said, “We focused on transferring the know-how on single-piece repair that is active in Korea to MSRC (Mobile Screen Repair Center), a service center in India specializing in ‘smartphone display single-piece repair.”
The South Korean tech giant makes genuine spare parts and repair kits more accessible to consumers, reducing repair time and costs. Customers can now buy authentic parts online or through authorized centers, ensuring their devices’ longevity and performance.
