The EOS R6 Mark III now comes with a 32.5MP sensor, offering higher detail and better crop flexibility. Despite the increase in resolution, the speed remains impressive – the camera can shoot up to 40fps with the electronic shutter and 12fps with the mechanical/electronic first-curtain shutter. Canon says the camera can capture around 150 continuous images at 40fps, depending on settings. Also Read: Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023: Top deals on smart printers under Rs 5000
The camera also introduces a pre-shooting mode, which records up to 20 frames before the shutter is fully pressed. This works across RAW, C-RAW, and HEIF formats, making it easier to capture unpredictable moments.
Autofocus performance has been upgraded as well, including improved tracking and a “Register People Priority” feature borrowed from the flagship EOS R1. Canon is pushing video capabilities forward with 7K 60p internal RAW recording and support for 3:2 Open Gate. You can also record a proxy file simultaneously for easier post-processing. Support for Canon Log 2, Log 3, HLG, and the Cinema EOS Custom Picture profiles adds more flexibility for colour grading.
Canon’s new 45mm f/1.2 lens is designed to bring bright-aperture photography to more users. It weighs just 346g, making it the smallest f/1.2 lens in Canon’s EF/RF lineup. On full-frame cameras, the focal length offers a natural perspective, while on APS-C bodies like the EOS R50, it becomes a 72mm equivalent – ideal for portraits and close-ups.
