Amazon India is known for its vast trove of available products, speedy delivery and for offering heavy discounts to the buyers. What the company is not known for is offering surprise gifts. However, the company made an exception recently when it shipped something unexpected with the purchased product. A Bengaluru couple reportedly ordered an Xbox Controller from the platform. While the company delivered the purchased product in time, it also reportedly delivered a snake along with it.
In a detailed post on Reddit, the Amazon user, who goes by the name Tanvi detailed the harrowing experience. In her post, she wrote that they ordered an Xbox Controller from Amazon on June 16, which was delivered on June 18 by the delivery partner.
In her post, Tanvi further mentioned that the snake did not harm anyone as it was stuck to the packaging tape and that it has been identified as a possible Spectacled Cobra, which is a highly venomous snake species native to Karnataka. What’s more distressing is that despite the danger, Amazon‘s customer care service reportedly put the couple on hold for around two hours. “We did receive a complete refund, but what do we get for risking our lives here with a highly venomous snake,” she added.
