Xiaomi's secret phone could bring back one feature from the Mi 11 Ultra.
Xiaomi is reportedly moving forward to soon unveil the Xiaomi 16 series, which might also include a new smartphone – internally labelled the Q200. The device is identified by the codename “Pandora.” This speculated handset is expected to launch in September 2025. According to a report by XiaomiTime, the Q200 (with model number 25098PN5AC) will bring back the dual-screen innovation that we saw on the Mi 11 Ultra in 2021. To recall, the 11 Ultra’s rear panel featured a tiny display housed in the camera island. It was helpful for taking a quick look at the notifications and even selfie framing while using the rear camera. The feature was quite a thing back then, however, Xiaomi didn’t really care about bringing it back. Also Read: Redmi K90 Pro To Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Likely To Launch In November
After Xiaomi, a few brands did try the dual-display concept but couldn’t make a mark. Now, with the recently launched Nothing Phone (3)’s Glyph Matrix display, we hope Xiaomi makes a revisit. Also Read: Xiaomi 17 Ultra In The Works? Camera Leak Reveals Quad Setup With 200MP Primary Sensor
A previous leak had suggested that the Q200 will sit just below the Xiaomi 16 Ultra in the lineup. The series is also said to include the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro – both sporting a compact form factor.
That said, the Q200 is still away from any official confirmation. The device’s model number 25098PN5AC doesn’t reveal much about the specifics of the phone. The Q200 could see a China-exclusive launch in September this year alongside the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro.
The Chinese tech giant may release the rumoured Q200 in other markets after receiving the initial impressions and responses on the device. This means that the dual-display phone might not see a global release until early 2026.
