Xiaomi 17S Pro Expected to Launch in 2026 With Second-Generation XRING Chip and Premium Features

Xiaomi S-series provides a device that seems like a silent yet resolute step every year, and all indications point to the fact that the next Xiaomi 17S Pro will be no exception. Although the phone remains secret, fresh leaks are now beginning to take over a portrait of what might become Xiaomi’s next big performance-oriented Smartphone. With talk of a new in-house chipset and a release timeline that follows the company’s predictable cycle, the excitement around this model is already taking off.

Xiaomi 17S Pro Launch Timeline

According to early hints shared on Weibo, the Xiaomi 17S Pro is reportedly in active development. The S-series is known for its consistent release pattern, and leaks suggest the new model is targeting a 2026 launch. This puts it after the release of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra which is likely to be released later this month. The 17S Pro is very likely to be the completion of the Xiaomi 17 line, which already has the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.

Processor

One of the biggest talking points is the chipset. Xiaomi is expected to introduce the second-generation version of its custom XRING processor inside the 17S Pro, possibly named XRING 02. If this happens, it would replace the XRING 01 chip that was used to run the Xiaomi 15S Pro. The former model had an architecture of 3nm and a 10-core design and therefore it is only natural that expectations will be high to see higher power efficiency and performance improvements in the new generation. Similar to its predecessor, the new model will also be most likely to be exclusive to the Chinese market.

Expected Price

The Xiaomi 15S Pro launched earlier this year at CNY 5,499 around Rs 65,500 for its top-end configuration. It came with a 6.73-inch display of 2K OLED LTPO, Ceramic Glass 2.0, 16GB RAM and a maximum of 1TB. Its Leica triple 50MP rear camera system, 32MP front camera and large 6,100mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging demonstrated the vision that Xiaomi had of the S series.

If the 17S Pro follows the same philosophy, users can expect premium hardware, upgraded imaging capabilities and noticeable improvements in performance efficiency.
