POCO is looking forward to expanding its performance-focused F series with the POCO F8 Ultra. The device – scheduled to debut globally this month – will succeed the POCO F7 Ultra, which launched in March this year. The F8 Ultra was long rumoured to launch as a flagship product, and now POCO has officially confirmed that it is, indeed, debuting with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. POCO Global took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm the existence and arrival of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered flagship. According to the post, the POCO F8 Ultra achieved 3,944,934 score on AnTuTu benchmark. Another X post revealed that the chipset will be paired with a VisionBoost D8 chip on the F8 Ultra, delivering AI Super Resolution. On Monday, POCO Global announced via an X post that the POCO F8 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra will debut globally on November 26. The launch event is scheduled to take place in Bali, Indonesia at 4 p.m. local time (1:30 p.m. IST). The phone is teased to come with Sound by Bose audio tuning and a quad rear camera setup. Pricing and the full specifications will be revealed at the event.
The POCO F8 Ultra was spotted on Geekbench recently with the model number Xiaomi 25102PCBEG. As per the listing, the chipset delivered a base clock speed of 3.63GHz and a peak clock speed of 4.61GHz. The processor is said to include two performance cores and six efficiency cores.
Early reports suggest the F8 Ultra might come with a 7,000mAh battery and 100W wired charging. Wireless charging support is also expected. The phone may feature a 1.5K or 2K LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. For cameras, it is rumoured to include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope camera.
The front is expected to house a 50MP selfie camera. The phone might also include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and could ship with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
