iQOO has been revealing key details about its upcoming flagship, the iQOO 15, which is set to debut in China later this month. The brand has now confirmed two major upgrades – the phone will ship with both IP68 and IP69 ratings, along with a next-generation 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that works even with wet fingers. news Also Read: iQOO 15 Specifications Leak Ahead Of Launch; Teased Camera Samples Show Telephoto Power

iQOO 15 Gets Dual Dust and Water Resistance

In a fresh post on Weibo, iQOO said the iQOO 15 will carry dual IP certifications. The IP68 rating ensures protection against dust and immersion in water under certain conditions. But the addition of IP69 makes it more interesting – it means the handset can also withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. news Also Read: Upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Phones: Xiaomi, OnePlus, iQOO, Realme, And More

Faster Fingerprint Unlock

Another confirmed upgrade is the new 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. While last year’s iQOO 13 already featured this technology, the iQOO 15 is expected to deliver faster unlock speeds and better accuracy. The scanner will also recognize fingerprints even when the user’s hand is wet, which should make everyday use more convenient.

Other Key Features Teased

The upcoming iQOO 15 will also be the first flagship from the brand to support wireless charging, paired with a massive battery that is said to exceed 7,000mAh. iQOO has also highlighted its Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0 tech, designed to protect battery health during intensive gaming and long video playback sessions while charging.

Under the hood, the phone is already confirmed to run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This flagship processor comes with a 2+6 core setup and clocks up to 4.6GHz. The handset will sport a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO Samsung “Everest” display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 6,000 nits peak brightness, and a 3,200Hz instant touch response. iQOO’s proprietary Q3 chip will further optimize the gaming experience.

With the official launch just around the corner, more teasers are expected in the coming days.
