iPhone 17 Launch Today: Last-Minute Leaks That Will Surprise You

Tim Cook is all set to unveil the much-awaited iPhone 17 series finally during the “Awe Dropping” event. Apple fans will surely be excited, so do the all other tech enthusiasts, due to the upgrades that the new members of the Apple family are expected to bring to the table. Ahead of the launch, last-minute leaks have started flooding the internet, and some of them are quite surprising. From new designs to updated internals, there’s a lot to unpack even before Tim Cook takes the stage.

Here’s a quick roundup of what the iPhone 17 lineup is expected to bring, based on the most recent leaks.

iPhone 17 Series: What Models To Expect

As we know already via a bunch of leaks and rumours, Apple is reportedly launching four models this year – iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air (a new, ultra-thin model), iPhone 17 Pro, and the top-end iPhone 17 Pro Max. 

Amongst these, the standard iPhone 17 is expected to get a slight size bump to a 6.3-inch display, and that too with a 120Hz ProMotion display. Yes, finally a pro feature to the standard models that have been asked by the fans for a very long time. Leaks suggest that it may also feature a 24MP front camera, the new A19 chip, a 3,692 mAh battery, and faster 25W wireless charging.

The All-New iPhone 17 Air: What Is It Getting?

One of the most talked-about devices is the iPhone 17 Air. This is expected to replace the Plus model and will likely focus on a thinner, lighter build. At just 5.5mm thick, it could be Apple’s slimmest phone ever. Despite the size, it’s still expected to feature a 48MP rear camera, an A19 chip, and Apple’s new C1 modem. But yes, a single camera setup! 

Battery-wise, it may come with a 3,149 mAh unit, the smallest among the four, but it may use newer battery tech that packs more power into a smaller space.

iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max: All Details

The biggest design change? The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to adopt a new horizontal camera bar at the back, similar to some Android rivals. These models may also be slightly thicker to accommodate a larger battery and new camera hardware.

Leaks from regulatory filings hint at notable battery upgrades as the iPhone 17 Pro Max may get a 5,088mAh battery, which is the biggest iPhone battery ever, and the iPhone 17 Pro may get a 4,252mAh battery. 

iPhone 17 Series Price Expectations

While the official price will be confirmed tonight, the last-minute price rumours about the iPhone 17 series seem like this: 

• iPhone 17: $799 (Rs 79,999)
• iPhone 17 Air: $1,099 (Rs 99,990)
• iPhone 17 Pro: $1,199 (Rs 1,45,000 approx.)
• iPhone 17 Pro Max: $1,299+

Apple may also increase base storage to 256GB for the Pro models to justify the price bump. The same is the case with the iPhone 17 Air. 

Apple Event 2025: What Else To Expect

Alongside the iPhones, Apple is also expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 11, Watch SE 3, and Watch Ultra 3. There’s also chatter about AirPods Pro 3, possibly with a high-end version featuring gesture controls via infrared sensors, although that may launch later.
