No more Nokia phones? This is the first HMD-branded phone launching soon in India

HMD is preparing to launch its first smartphone without the Nokia branding in India. The smartphone will likely be called HMD Pulse and it is expected to release sometime later this year. HMD Pulse could be the first phone without Nokia branding

According to Onleaks (via MySmartPrice), HMD Pulse will launch soon. The design of the phone has been revealed through renders. The smartphone will feature a clean back design with HMG branding in the centre. The device will launch in at least three colour options – Black, Blue, and Pink.

It will feature a 6.56-inch IPS display with an HD+ resolution. It will be a punch-hole panel with flat edges. As per the renders, the bezels look slim overall, except for the top because of the earpiece. It will have a power button and volume rocker on the right side. There will be a SIM card slot on the left side.

In terms of the optics, it will feature a dual-rear camera system. The main lens is said to be a 13MP primary lens, which hints that this could be an entry-level phone. It also appears to have a dual-LED flash next to the camera lenses.

The device is expected to be powered by an octa-core chipset, however, the exact chip isn’t confirmed. As for the battery, it is said to pack a 5,000mAh cell. It may have some sort of fast charging support. However, the details for the same are under wraps for now. But we should learn more as we move closer to the release.
