Asus has launched what it claims to be India’s first Copilot+ PC. That term essentially refers to the new generation of Windows 11-powered laptops that allow AI-powered Copilot features to run efficiently and natively, thanks to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor that uses a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU). The new laptop carries forward the legacy of Vivobook laptops through a sleek design and an all-metal finish. The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED will take on the Apple MacBook Air, which will gain AI capabilities with macOS Sequoia rollout later this year.
The new Vivobook S 15 OLED (S5507) will cost Rs 1,24,990 and be available from Flipkart, Asus Eshop, Asus Exclusive Stores, and Pegasus Stores across the country.
Featuring Windows 11 Home with support for Copilot and a dedicated button for it, the new Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED boasts a Snapdragon X Elite processor with Qualcomm Engine with up to 45 TOPS of Hexagon NPU performance. It is paired with a Qualcomm Adreno GPU for graphics. You get 16GB of LPDDR5X of RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. Its connectivity options include tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The laptop packs a 15.6-inch 3K (2880×1620 pixel resolution) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has a peak brightness of 600 nits, a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and SGS Eye Care protection. You get two USB-C Gen 4 ports with 4K UHD output and 40Gbps data transfer speed, alongside two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and one HDMI 2.1 port. A microSD card reader and an audio jack complete the connectivity offerings on the laptop, which features Harman Kardon-certified speakers with Dolby Atmos. The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED uses a 70Wh battery, claimed to offer over 18 hours of runtime on a single charge. It is about 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.42kg. For reference, the latest MacBook Air weighs 1.24kg.
