OpenAI to Soon Unveil its GPT-5 and Offer Free Unlimited Access to Users: Here’s Everything We Know So Far

OpenAI is making rounds for its ChatGPT-5, an upcoming AI model that will be more enhanced version of the already available ChatGPT in the market. The American Artificial Intelligence company has announced its plan and launch timeline for its upcoming ChatGPT-5. The GPT-5 will offer exciting changes, several enhancements, and essential updates for both its free as well as premium users. The company said it will integrate its o3 reasoning model in GPT-5 and will bring necessary improvement to the platform.

Here’s What We Know About ChatGPT-5:

With the upcoming launch of ChatgPT-5, all the users including premium members will have access to GPT-5. This will ensure that even who are not premium members will be benefit from the advanced capabilities offering by GPT-5. Nevertheless, the premium  and plus members will still get some of the advanced features and higher intelligence levels in the upcoming model. Addition of cutting-edge o3 reasoning model in GPT-5 will further elevate the AI’s performance.

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI mentioned in his X post about the GPT-5, revealing the timeline and roadmap that the company is working on. His post reads, “We want to do a better job of sharing our intended roadmap, and a much better job simplifying our product offerings. We want AI to “just work” for you; we realize how complicated our model and product offerings have gotten. We hate the model picker as much as you do and want to return to magic unified intelligence.”

Right now company is focusing on GPT-4.5 that will be company’s ‘last non-chain-thought model’ which means the language model of ChatGPT right now generates text without relying on a traditional chain-of-thought approach. With the launch of ChatGPT-5, the company is focusing more on advanced features such as voice interaction, visual canvas tool, and more accurate responses. In addition, the company will also integrate deep research capabilities in GPT-5 so that it can handle more complex topics efficiently.

The free members of the ChatGPT-5 will have unlimited chat access to GPT-5 which will be set at the standard intelligence setting. However, the Plus and Premium members will have the opportunity to run GPT-5 at an even higher level of intelligence.
