Listening to music on just a regular activity for users these days as they use it to create social bonding with people who have the same taste. Now, YouTube Music has recently added a feature named personal radio that will be available on your profile and channel just like artists, playlists, top songs, and music videos. The personal radio feature on the platform will get updated based on your current musical taste and listening habits. You can also share the URL of your personal radio and share it with others so that they can use it for offline listening as well.
As of now, the update is being rolled out slowly and if you are unable to see it on your app then you need to wait for a little bit before enjoying that personal radio feature. The screenshot of the feature shared by 9to5Google suggested that the feature is primarily for sharing and the suggestions will be based on the recent music of the account and it will always keep updating.
The latest YouTube feature is somewhat similar to Apple’s Friend Mix which highlights the songs that the user’s friends are listening to. However, YouTube Music’s personal radio will be based on the dynamic data of a single user instead of mixing tracks from the playlists of multiple friends. Another major difference between the two is that Apple Music’s Friends Mix updates every week and YouTube Music’s personal radio will get updated every day. It will be interesting to see how things turn out for YouTube Music after this development.
