Netflix is soon going to end the support for multiple iPhones and iPads that are running on iOS 16. The latest update of the Netflix app available on the Apple App Store will withdraw the support for any and every device running on iOS 16. And the streaming platform has already issued a warning for the same to all the users. The message shared by Netflix says We have updated the Netflix app! To use the latest version, you are required to install iOS 17 or later.
In a report published by 9To5 Mac, it has been suggested that users can keep using the Netflix application on their iPhones and iPads running on iOS 16. However, the liberty will be soon snatched away as Netflix has already issued a warning for the same. And this is not happening for the first time. In the past, Netflix stopped supporting the third-generation Apple TV as well.
Anyone who is using iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X can bid adieu to the Netflix application with the latest update. Apart from that, iPad 5 (2017 edition) users will also have no Netflix support. And 1st generation iPad Pro users will be left hanging without the Netflix app support as well.
So, if you carry any of the mentioned devices then it’s high time to consider changing it because not only Netflix, but slowly and steadily, more applications will join the support-dropping party. For your information, Apple has recently rolled out the iPhone 16 series including four devices that will be shipped with the iOS 18. So, switching to a device that runs on at least iOS 17 would be the only way to enjoy Netflix on your iPhone.
