Streaming on JioHotstar is about to feel very different. Reliance has announced four new AI-powered features for the app, promising to make searching, dubbing, and even cricket viewing much more exciting. The update will bring a voice assistant called Riya, real-time dubbing with AI voice cloning, JioLenZ for new viewing angles, and MaxView 3.0 for cricket lovers. The company hasn’t shared when these features will go live just yet. Also Read: IMC 2025: Reliance Jio Launches Safety-First JioBharat Phones, Introduces AI Classroom For Students
Akash Ambani, Chairman of Jio, introduced Riya, a smart voice assistant designed to make finding shows and movies easier. Instead of scrolling endlessly, viewers can simply ask Riya in natural language – whether it’s “last year’s IPL highlights” or “the best episodes of my favourite series” – and get quick results. Ambani said Riya has been built to understand the way people really think and speak. Also Read: Airtel vs Jio vs Vi: Best Plans With Free Netflix To Watch The Ba**ds of Bollywood
One of the most eye-catching updates is Voice Print, a real-time dubbing service. Powered by AI lip-sync and voice cloning technology, it makes your favourite stars speak in your language – using their own voice and expressions. Ambani explained that with Voice Print, dubbing won’t just sound translated; it will feel authentic, as if the actors performed in your language from the start. For cricket fans, JioHotstar will bring JioLenZ, which lets viewers enjoy matches from different angles depending on their screen. To add to that, MaxView 3.0 will offer live scorecards, instant highlights, multiple languages, and camera angles in real time. Ambani said the cricket experience is being redesigned around the way people naturally hold their phones, making it more immersive and closer to the action.
While the features sound impressive, Reliance hasn’t revealed a rollout date. For now, users will have to wait to see when these AI-driven updates arrive on JioHotstar.
