Instagram has rolled out two new features amid Tiktok’s ban in the US. The meta-owned company has introduced a new feature to its Reels enhancing user interaction. The supreme court in the US has finally banned TikTok which results in its competitors taking advantage. That’s one of the reasons that its competitor Instagram has rolled out two essential features to increase the user’s engagement among their community, friends, and loved ones.
The tech giant has introduced an update allowing users to see which reels have been liked by their friends. Instagram head Adam Mosseri has given details of these 2 new features by making a reel video. Mosseri writes in the post, “We want Instagram to be a place where people not only come to be entertained but also connect with their friends through engaging content.”

The video-sharing platform has added a Friends Interaction feature which will allow you to see the reels and posts liked by your friends. The feature can be located at the top of the reels tab. The content here will be different from your Instagram algorithm and you will be able to access new content.
Additionally, the company has also added a feature called Reply Bar in the new section of Instagram reels. With the help of this feature, you can immediately reply to your friends on that reel by clicking on them appearing in the bubble. Not only the feature will allow you to chat with your friends, but you will also be able to stream the content of those people whom you do not follow. The Reply Bar was first introduced in the US and eventually, it will be rolled out to other countries and markets as well.
