Swiggy and Zomato keep introducing new features to make the lives of the users easy. Now, the applications have introduced a new group order feature that is going to make ordering food more convenient. This feature is going to be of great help in times of celebration. The feature is available for all Swiggy users. According to Swiggy, the feature is going to solve a major party pain point by giving everyone the liberty to choose their own stuff at a given time. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal said that the feature will save people from passing their smartphones around to add what everyone has to eat. How to use the group order feature on Swiggy and Zomato?

  • Open the Swiggy application on your smartphone.
  • Now, head to the food ordering section and open the menu of any restaurant based on your preference.
  • At the top right corner of the screen, you will see a group order button, tap on it.
  • After that, you will see a new pop-up on the screen, with two messages – Show QR Code or Share a Link.
  • Now, choose an option that is suitable for you and share it with your friends and family, who are going to be a part of the group order.
  • Once all the orders are added, just checkout pay the price and you are done.

Note: The process is quite identical on Zomato with a couple of tweaks here and there in the UI. Zomato has a 30-minute window to complete a group order and the maximum amount of people in a group order is 30. However, there is no such limitation on Swiggy regarding the same.
