Canva AI Update: New Video Editor, Marketing Tools, And Features Explained

Canva has already introduced a bunch of AI tools to create images, edit the existing design and a lot more. Whether it is about removing the background from the image, adding an element or AI generation with just a text-prompt, Canva has a lot. Canva’s new Video 2.0 editor is designed to make video creation more intuitive. The updated interface now includes a professional-style timeline where you can easily trim, sync, or layer text, music, and clips. There’s also a new Magic Video tool powered by AI, which automatically adds effects, transitions, and adjustments – saving you a ton of time on post-production. Canva Designs With AI

Canva has also introduced its first-ever Design Foundation Model, an in-house AI engine trained to understand layouts, structure, and visual balance – basically, how good design works. This AI can now generate editable designs in seconds, meaning the elements it creates (like photos, graphics, and text blocks) can be customised directly instead of being just flat images.

The update also brings Ask Canva, a built-in design helper that works like a chat assistant. You can tag @Canva to ask questions, get design suggestions, or tweak copy without leaving your project.

Canva New Tools

Canva’s expansion goes beyond design. The company is launching Canva Grow, an all-in-one marketing platform that combines campaign creation, publishing, and performance tracking in one place. It’s also adding new tools like Email Design, which lets teams design and export emails without any coding, and Forms, a quick way to collect data or RSVPs within the platform. For those building interactive dashboards or web tools, Canva Code now connects directly with Canva Sheets, so your designs can stay live and data-driven.
