The pandemic changes how students study at their schools or colleges. Teachers and professors began taking classes online, a continuing practice that has necessitated high-speed internet at home. Several options, meant for students, are on the market, but the popular ones include monthly optical fibre plans from Airtel and Reliance Jio. These plans come with additional benefits, such as subscriptions to different OTT platforms, giving students ways to recreate when they want to take a break from studying.
— JioFiber 30Mbps plan: This JioFiber plan costs Rs 399 (excluding taxes) and offers unlimited broadband data at a 30Mbps speed for 30 days. This plan, however, does not offer any complimentary subscription benefits.
— Airtel Fiber 40Mbps plan: If you are looking to get a new Airtel connection, you can go with the Rs 499 plan, which offers unlimited internet at 40Mbps speed. This plan includes Wynk Music and other services, valid for a month.
— JioFiber 100Mbps plan: If you need a higher internet speed, possibly for better streaming and playing games, you can go with the JioFiber Rs 699 (before taxes) plan. It offers students 30 days of unlimited internet at 100Mbps.
— Airtel Fiber 100Mbps plan: Want a high-speed broadband connection from Airtel? You can choose the 100Mbps plan, which costs Rs 799 (before taxes) and lasts 30 days. Airtel also offers consumers complimentary subscriptions of Wynk Music, Xstream Premium, and Apollo 24×7. However, the FUP limit is 3,500GB, after which the speed will decrease.
— JioFiber 150Mbps plan: If 100Mbps is not too fast for you, you can get a new connection or upgrade to the 150Mbps plan, which costs Rs 999 (before taxes) and lasts a month. JioFiber also provides complimentary memberships of OTT services, such as Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, and on-demand TV with over 800 channels.
— Airtel Fiber 200Mbps plan: Airtel offers an even higher 200Mbps plan to customers. It costs Rs 999 per month (without taxes) and gives high-speed internet along with free subscriptions to Wynk Music, Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Apollo 24×7 subscription, VIP service, and Airtel Xstream Premium.
To get a new connection, you can visit the website of the service you want to register your request, after which a customer representative of the respective service will contact you.
