Apple on Tuesday wrapped up its much-awaited 'Let Loose' event. The event was mainly focused on iPads, however, we also saw a few accessories. Moreover, Apple also unveiled the new M4 chipset. Let's see details of all the products announced at the event.
Apple announced the iPad Air (2024 model). The iPad Air comes in two screen sizes - 11-inch and 13-inch. It is powered by an M2 chipset, making it 50 percent faster than its predecessor. It starts at Rs 59,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 79,900 for the 13-inch model.
Apple also unveiled its most powerful iPad, the iPad Pro (2024 model). The Pro model also has two screen sizes - 11-inch and 13-inch. The iPad Pro is powered by the incredibly powerful M4 chipset, a bit jump from the M2 chipset in the predecessor. It starts at Rs 99,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 1,49,900 for the 13-inch model.
Apple unveiled its most powerful chip powering the new iPad Pro, the M4 chipset. The new chipset is based on a 3nm node and enables some of the iPad Pro's features such as Ultra Retina XDR and powerful performance. The chipset has up to 10 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores. It supports Dynamic Caching and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. It has also a Neural engine that's suitable for AI workloads.
Apple's new Magic Keyboard has a bigger trackpad and boasts a double-hinged design. It has a USB-C port for charging. The 11-inch Magic Keyboard is priced at Rs 29,900 and the 13-inch Magic Keyboard costs Rs 33,900.
Coming to another accessory launch, the Apple Pencil Pro is priced at Rs 11,900. For students, it costs Rs 10,900 on a valid university ID. The Pencil Pro supports squeeze gestures and is compatible with the new iPad Pro M4 and iPad Air M2.
Apart from the product launches, Apple also announced a price cut on the iPad's 10th generation. The iPad 10th generation now starts at Rs 34,900, as opposed to the Rs 44,900 launch price.
Apple also addressed its upcoming event next month. The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event is scheduled to start on June 10. Apple is expected to announce the new AI-powered iOS 18 at the event.
