Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, Galaxy M15 5G launched in India: Check price, specs, availability

Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G in India. These new smartphones are a part of the company’s M-series device, which also includes smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy M14, the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G and the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G smartphone. Both the phones, that is, the Galaxy M55 5G and the Galaxy M15 5G have a similar back-panel design but they differ in finish and colour variants. On the front, the Galaxy M15 5G sports a water-drop notch while the Galaxy M55 5G has a punch-hole display.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G starts at Rs 26,999 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. It also comes in an 8+256GB variant that costs Rs 29,999, and a 12+256GB variant that costs Rs 32,999 in India. Interested buyers can purchase this smartphone on Amazon India and Samsung’s official India website in Denim Black and Light Green colour variants.

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G, on the other hand, starts at Rs 13,299 for the 4+128GB variant. It’s also available in 6+128GB variant that costs Rs 14,799 in India. Interested buyers can get this smartphone on Amazon India and Samsung’s official India website in Stone Grey, Blue Topaz and Celestine Blue colour variants.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G specifications

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G sports a 6.67-inch super AMOLED display that has a full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 16 million colours, 120Hz of dynamic refresh rate, 1000 nits of peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The Galaxy M55 5G is powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset that is coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. This is the second smartphone launching in India with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The Galaxy M55 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W super-fast charging technology.

Coming to the camera, the Galaxy M55 5G sports a triple camera setup at the back, which includes a 50MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-camera and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it has a 50MP camera for selfies.

The Galaxy M55 5G runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1. Samsung will provide four years of OS updates and five years of security updates. Additional features of this smartphone include support for NFC, Samsung Pay, Quick Share and Voice Focus among others.

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G comes with a 6.45-inch super AMOLED display with a full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 90Hz of dynamic refresh rate, 800 nits of peak brightness. The Galaxy M15 5G is powered with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ that is coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. The Galaxy M15 5G runs Android 14-based OneUI 6.1. Samsung will provide four years of OS updates and five years of security updates. It is backed by a 6,000mAh battery, which the company says will provide up to two days of battery life.

On the camera front, the Galaxy M55 5G sports a triple camera setup at the back, which includes a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-camera and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it has a 13MP camera for selfies.
