OpenAI Launched ChatGPT Projects to Organize Files and Chats

The American Artificial Intelligence Research Organization OpenAI launched a new tool and feature in ChatGPT. The feature is named as ‘PROJECTS’ in celebration of its ‘Shipmas’ celebration. The feature is basically designed for users so that they can organize and maintain their tasks seamlessly. The ‘PROJECTS’ tool will allow users to initiate group chats and maintain data. Users will be able to tailor ChatGPT as per their needs.

ChatGPT Projects is now available globally but if you are not able to find the feature then wait for some days, it will be slowly rolled out for your device. The company released a demo video explaining about the Projects. The video states that the feature will appear on the left sidebar and users will be able to customize things. In addition, users can also upload their files and also provide instructions to ChatGPT for your particular tasks. Here’s how you can create a project in ChatGPT.

STEP1: The project button is situated at the top right corner of the ChatgPT page.

STEP2: At first you have to click on the plus button next to the Projects.

STEP3: Now select a name for your Project.

STEP4: Create Project.

STEP5: There is a Conversation feature in Projects which can share context with your uploaded files and custom instructions. Conversations in Projects has following features:

Search

You can also delete the Project by touching on the three dots next to your Project name. Now select Delete Project. After you click on Delete, it will erase all your files, documents, conversation, and custom instructions. Once all your files and documents are deleted, they cannot be recovered. You can also add files to your Project. The feature also gives you option to move existing or previous conversations into a Project.
