Sony on Monday announced the new Walkman in India. The Sony NW-ZX707 Walkman comes with high-res audio of 96KHz and offers a battery life of up to 25 hours. The Walkman NW-ZX707 comes with a compact size featuring a 5-inch display and an aluminum frame. It is a touch-screen TFT panel with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is capable of delivering FLAC, MP3, and DSD (Direct Stream Digital) audio. It comes with DSD Remastering Engine that converts PCM audio into 11.2 MHz DSD audio.
It features S-Master HX digital amp technology and has Hi-Res audio support offering CD-quality sound. It has other codecs including LDAC, aptX HD, AAC, and SBC. Furthermore, it comes with 360 Reality Audio and has NFC support.
The Walkman comes with Wi-Fi 5 supporting 2.4/5GHz and has Bluetooth 5.0. It packs a lithium-ion battery that can offer up to 25 hours of continuous music playback depending on the audio format. The device can be charged fully in approximately 3.5 hours.
It has 64GB of internal storage out of which, 47GB will be available for usage. It has a microSD card slot for additional storage. As for ports, it has a stereo mini jack, a balanced standard jack, and a USB Type-C port.
It boots on the Android 12 operating system and comes with Google’s Play Store. Users are expected to download music apps such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and others on the device.
The Walkman only comes with a USB Type A to USB Type-C cable, which means you can use your existing power adapter or purchase a new one separately.
