Samsung recently launched the Galaxy M15 5G in a few global markets. It is a budget smartphone with specs such as a 90Hz display, a MediaTek chipset, and a big battery. Now, Samsung, via Amazon, has confirmed the release of the smartphone in India. Samsung Galaxy M15 5G will succeed the Galaxy M14 5G from last year and is expected to arrive in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment. A promotional poster of the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G has been listed on the Amazon India website. It confirms that the budget device will launch soon in the country. The smartphone is expected to be priced in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment and will compete with phones from brands like Poco, Infinix, Motorola, Tecno, iQOO, and others. Samsung via Amazon has revealed two highlights of the phone. The Galaxy M15 5G will come with an sAMOLED screen and pack a massive 5,000mAh battery. Apart from this, there’s no other information has been revealed. However, as said above, the device is already available in some markets so we do know its key specifications. We expect the same model to arrive in India.
The Galaxy M15 5G globally has a 6.5-inch water-drop notch display with an FHD+ resolution. It is an AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate support. The screen comes with a pixel density of 396 PPI and a waterdrop-style notch on top.
In terms of optics, it has a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro unit. It has a 13MP camera on the front for video calls and selfies. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In India, we expect it to have multiple RAM and storage configurations. It has a microSD card slot for additional storage up to 1TB.
As for the battery, the device packs a large 6,000mAh cell with 25W fast charging support. However, it doesn’t come with a fast-charging adapter inside the box. The dual-SIM phone has 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS support. It runs on Android 14 OS out of the box with One UI on top.
