OnePlus is preparing to launch a new mid-range smartphone, likely as part of its Ace series, according to leaks from trusted source Digital Chat Station. While the exact name of the device hasn’t been confirmed, the leaked details suggest it will be OnePlus 13R.
The leaked specifications hint at an impressive device powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. It will reportedly feature a flat 1.5K display and pack a hefty 6,000 mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting performance. Additionally, the phone is expected to sport a 50MP telephoto camera, utilize Oppo Find X8’s image processing technology, and come with a Sony IMX906 primary camera sensor measuring 1/1.56 inches. These features indicate that OnePlus is aiming for a device that can compete with high-end smartphones while maintaining an affordable price.
The Digital Chat Station wrote, “Mid-range new phone test IMX906 main camera + JN1 vertical telephoto, image algorithm can be used on FX8, 1.5K BOE X2 pure straight screen, 6-beginning silicon battery density is considerable, this generation of SM8750 is greatly accelerated, there will be new thing. The OnePlus Ace series primarily targets the Chinese market, but OnePlus is known for rebranding its devices for global audiences. Past examples include the OnePlus 11R and OnePlus 12R, which were initially part of the Ace lineup. It’s highly likely that this new phone will be rebranded as the OnePlus 13R for international markets.
With its reputation for providing feature-packed phones at competitive prices, OnePlus’ new device could make a big impact in the mid-range sector. The combination of a powerful processor, advanced camera system, and large battery makes it well-positioned to attract consumers looking for value without compromising on performance.
The official launch of OnePlus’ next flagship, the OnePlus 13, is expected later this month, with a global release scheduled for January. Around that time, we also expect the debut of the more affordable OnePlus 13R.
